How to renew your Tennessee RN license

Late or lapsed renewal
Due last day of birth month. Failure to renew forfeits the right to practice. Reinstatement: application, background check, reinstatement fee $100 + $10 state regulatory fee (Rule 1000-01-.02 / .05).
Do Tennessee RNs need CE hours?
Not on their own. You keep proof of two items from the Board's list, such as an employer evaluation plus 10 contact hours of CE (current Rule 1000-01-.18 item 9).
What if my Tennessee license expires?
Renewal is due the last day of your birth month. Failure to renew forfeits the right to practice (Rule 1000-01-.05). Reinstatement requires the reinstatement application, a background check, and payment of reinstatement ($100) plus the $10 biennial state regulatory fee under Rule 1000-01-.02.
